KDU Food Festival...

just now KDU had this food festival thing. its sort of a hari cantin. you have to buy coupon in order to by foods. the price for 1 coupon is rm 10 but i manage to get 1 for rm 8. haha...too bad for you who didnt get it. so there were a lot of foods, ranging from locals to internationals one. there were japanese food, taiwanese, donuts and whatnot. the price for the foods was what we say "cekik darah". but what to do, i was really hungry and the mamak is 20 minits away. i bought some and ate them which was not really good. haha..

sea hai bought this nasi mangga i think. it was disgusting to me coz it was really sticky and yellowish...

they are trying to finish it after they have ate so much..

me and hong..nothing to do except taking picture

chai yi, we call her amoi. she's small but i think she have 2 stomach..

california roll. this was actually quite nice. have never eaten one before. so i cant really know wether it is good or not...

yea..never really go there

i'm not sure wether it is ice or crystal. didnt have time to check it our since it was really hectic!

i think they offered a really reasonable price. cheaper than normal price..

japanese stall...i wish there were more kind of sushi..

hot dogs anyone?

Happy Birthday Uncle Dennis!!

make a wish...

gambatte!!

by this time he give up edi...

so yea...he's 36 now. not so young, but not that old yet. best of wished for you. do live long.. =.=
oh ya. the reason why theres 3 picture of him blowing the candle is that he cant blow them off. he kept trying but still cant. as a last resort, he cabut the candle from the cake and use the ice around the cake to put them off. it was an ice cream cake btw from baskin robin. i'm not saying its not good, its just that i think its not worth it. no offence aite!! haha...

TMNT RoXX!!!

his name is kevin something.. haha. i dont bother to remember his name coz i'm not really into TMNT. i do like the cartoons series. after the talk there were lots of people "chasing" him just to get his autograph and picture... i dont know why. he's just a normal human being like me. why cant they took picture of me instead? haha...

so i went to this talk at hilton hotel in kl. i cant remember the name but its just a talk about animations, how to make money and what not. i went with my college mates and lectures. hong missed it. i think he overslept and when we call him, he didnt bother to even answer. or was his phone dead? w/e... i've never been into a 5 star hotel before. the 1st time i step my foot inside hilton, i felt so "rich". i mean if you look at the place, you would've never imagine such thing exist in malaysia. it was really beautiful. oh ya. there was a lamborgini(izzit spell correct?) park outside. anyway. the speaker was the create of the original TMNT. i was actually bored by his talk coz he keeps bragging about his work. i'm not saying its wrong, but cant you just tell me how to be rich like you? haha..thats the whole point i went there.

me and my friends and lecturers. i know you are thinking that the person in the middle is my lecturer but he's actually not. haha...but he do looks like one right? =.=

Proud to be M'sian..

Being a Malaysian is the best
because...

1. World tallest twin towers, Best F1
circuit, largest roti canai, most
expensive toll rates,
because Malaysia Boleh!

2. We can be driving, picking our
nose, cursing another driver, talking
on the handphone,
adjusting the radio and bribing
the traffic police at the same time.
3. We divorce by sending SMS.

4. Traffic summon can be settled on
the spot with the traffic police.

5. We have Teh Tarik & Roti Canai on
the Russian space ship.

6. We can save a lot of electricity
b'coz our TV shows are so crappy.

7. We can blame everything on the haze
or George Soros or government or
opposition parties or...

8. Resourceful City Council, one
person to drive the van, one to carry
the ladder, one to change
a street's bulb and three others
watching...

9. We make 2 lane trunk roads into 3
lane highway and back to 2 lane
when polices are sighted

10. There's always something for the
JKR to do. They dig, resurface the
road, dig and resurface...

11. All main roads are designated
highway because it gives Velooo a
reason to collect toll.

12. Our government can never be wrong.

13. Our badminton players can only win
on home grounds because we are
kampung champions.

14. We have more water than
Singapore ... nyek nyek nyek.

After reading the above, I believe you
will agree with me that being
Malaysian is still the best. You have
to be glad that you are a
Malaysian and enjoy staying in
Malaysia !

i SaY..

well, life's been good. everything is settle down now.. i'm having my 1st sem finals in 2 weeks. after that is holiday for 2 weeks i think. i wish it was longer but..what to do. its not my father's college. :P
some of my friends are planning to go somewhere, but are still not sure. i only want to stay home, sleep as always and do nothing for 2 weeks. i'm just lazy. this short sem has really taken a toll on me. short sem in college is harder than half a year in high school. i'm really tired. even though i have enough time to rest, i'm still tired. hope this end soon...

now, all my friends depart to their own respective uni already. i'm the only one left in shah alam. its quite quiet around here without them. usually i would hang out with them every single day. but then..now they're gone, i'm alone here...

about this girl..hmm. well, i think you guys know who she is. i got a crush on her for quite a while now. i didnt make any move coz i was afraid and didnt want to ruin our friendship. but i still want us to be more then just friends. anyone can help me?? how?? i dont know what do to anymore... :(

somewhat interesting day...

So i woke up on that day. i thought everything was like normal la, you know, simple boring day. but then, after i took a shower, i found that it was raining! i'm like WTF!! how am i gonna go to college on time.. thus i have to wait like 9.30 plus waiting for the rain to stop. so on the way, i thought that, kalau dah lambat, lagi lambat pun tak pe. hehe..i know i would miss miss shirley class as it will take me 30 minits plus to get to college from my home. so after i sent jijoel to his house, i was on my way. thanks god there was no flood along the motor lane... so i finally arrive at college at 10.10 i think. out of the sudden, sakit perut la plak. went to the toilet la... fortunately my "work" on the toilet lasted 5 minit only. hehehe...then i got in the computer labs. quite suprisingly, i saw sea hai, chia yee, and apple are at the counter. then i ask them la what happen. you know what they told me??? "miss shirley not in yet". my was was like --> = . =
i dont know what to say. it was nearly 10.16 that time.. so we went to IT department to search for miss shirley. we found her, told her the problem which is someone is using out class, then she said "i give you off la, no class today". then my face was like this again = . = i really dont know whats wrong with that day. and since we have like another half and hour left until the next class, we went to the cafe. i went to the one stop centre to make my student card. after a month over in KDU, i finally HAVE my STUDENT CARD!!!! hahaks.. though i havent use it yet. here are some pictures at the cafe..

vicent and hong are busy discussing serious matter. i still dont know what they were talking about (joey was trying to curi dengar)

sea hai with his teh ais i think..

this sandwich was almots finish, costs boon thong rm4 for a plate. sea hai said that got pork inside, but i dont know for sure la...

rm2 left by sea hai. it was joey's money. too bad you can only buy A drink with rm2

boon thong was busy finishing his meal.. ^^

Rules that guys wished women knew

1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.

2. Learn to work the toilet seat; if it's up, put it down.

3. Don't cut your hair. Ever.

4. Sometimes, we're not thinking about you. Live with it.

5. Get rid of your cat.

6. Saturday + Sunday = Sports. Learn this equation

7. Anything you wear is fine. Really.

8. Women wearing Wonder bras and low-cut blouses lose their right to complain about having their boobs stared at.

9. You have too many shoes.

10. Crying is blackmail.

11. Ask for what you want. Subtle hints don't work.

12. Mark anniversaries on a calendar.

13. "Yes" and "No" are perfectly acceptable answers.

14. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor.

15. Don't fake it. We'd rather be ineffective than deceived.

16. Anything we said six or eight months ago is inadmissible in an argument.

17. If you don't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys.

18. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one of the ways makes you sad and angry, we meant the other one.

19. Let us ogle. If we don't look at other women, how can we know how pretty you are?

20. Don't rub the lamp if you don't want the genie to come out.

21. You can either ask us to do something OR tell us how you want it done, not both.

22. Christopher Columbus didn't need directions, and neither do we.

23. You have enough clothes.

24. Men are from earth; women are from earth. Deal with it.

25. Nothing says, "I love you" like sex.

52 Proven Stress Reducers

  1. Get up fifteen minutes earlier in the morning. The inevitable morning mishaps will be less stressful.

  2. Prepare for the morning the evening before. Set the breakfast table, make lunches, put out the clothes you plan to wear, etc.

  3. Don't rely on your memory. Write down appointment times, when to pick up the laundry, when library books are due, etc.

  4. Do nothing which, after being done, leads you to tell a lie.

  5. Make duplicates of all keys. Bury a house key in a secret spot in the garden and carry a duplicate car key in your wallet, apart from your key ring.

  6. Practice preventive maintenance. Your car, appliances, home, and relationships will be less likely to break down/fall apart "at the worst possible moment."

  7. Be prepared to wait. A paperback can make a wait in a post office line almost pleasant.

  8. Procrastination is stressful. Whatever you want to do tomorrow, do today; whatever you want to do today, do it now.

  9. Plan ahead. Don't let the gas tank get below one-quarter full; keep a well-stocked "emergency shelf" of home staples; don't wait until you're down to your last bus token or postage stamp to buy more; etc.

  10. Don't put up with something that doesn't work right. If your alarm clock, wallet, shoe laces, windshield wipers - whatever- are a constant aggravation, get them fixed or get new ones.

  11. Allow 15 minutes of extra time to get to appointments. Plan to arrive at an airport one hour before domestic departures.

  12. Eliminate (or restrict) the amount of caffeine in your diet.

  13. Always set up contingency plans, "just in case." ("If for some reason either of us is delayed, here's what we'll do. . ." kind of thing. Or, "If we get split up in the shopping center, here's where we'll meet.")

  14. Relax your standards. The world will not end if the grass doesn't get mowed this weekend.

  15. Pollyanna-Power! For every one thing that goes wrong, there are probably 10 or 50 or 100 blessings. Count 'em!

  16. Ask questions. Taking a few moments to repeat back directions, what someone expects of you, etc., can save hours. (The old "the hurrieder I go, the behinder I get," idea.)

  17. Say "No!" Saying "no" to extra projects, social activities, and invitations you know you don't have the time or energy for takes practice, self-respect, and a belief that everyone, everyday, needs quiet time to relax and be alone.

  18. Unplug your phone. Want to take a long bath, meditate, sleep, or read without interruption? Drum up the courage to temporarily disconnect. (The possibility of there being a terrible emergency in the next hour or so is almost nil.) Or use an answering machine.

  19. Turn "needs" into preferences. Our basic physical needs translate into food, water, and keeping warm. Everything else is a preference. Don't get attached to preferences.

  20. Simplify, simplify, simplify. . .

  21. Make friends with non-worriers. Nothing can get you into the habit of worrying faster than associating with chronic worrywarts.

  22. Get up and stretch periodically if your job requires that you sit for extended periods.

  23. Wear earplugs. If you need to find quiet at home, pop in some earplugs.

  24. Get enough sleep. If necessary, use an alarm clock to remind you to go to bed.

  25. Create order out of chaos. Organize your home and workspace so that you always know exactly where things are. Put things away where they belong and you won't have to go through the stress of losing things.

  26. When feeling stressed, most people tend to breathe short, shallow breaths. When you breathe like this, stale air is not expelled, oxidation of the tissues is incomplete, and muscle tension frequently results. Check your breathing throughout the day, and before, during, and after high-pressure situations. If you find your stomach muscles knotted and your breathing is shallow, relax all your muscles and take several deep, slow breaths.

  27. Writing your thoughts and feelings down (in a journal, or on paper to be thrown away) can help you clarify things and can give you a renewed perspective

  28. Try the following yoga technique whenever you feel the need to relax. Inhale deeply through your nose to the count of eight. Then, with lips puckered, exhale very slowly through your mouth to the count of 16, or for as long as you can. Concentrate on the long sighing sound and feel the tension dissolve. Repeat 10 times.

  29. Inoculate yourself against a feared event. Example: before speaking in public, take time to go over every part of the experience in your mind. Imagine what you'll wear, what the audience will look like, how you will present your talk, what the questions will be and how you will answer them, etc. Visualize the experience the way you would have it be. You'll likely find that when the time comes to make the actual presentation, it will be "old hat" and much of your anxiety will have fled.

  30. When the stress of having to get a job done gets in the way of getting the job done, diversion - a voluntary change in activity and/or environment - may be just what you need.

  31. Talk it out. Discussing your problems with a trusted friend can help clear your mind of confusion so you can concentrate on problem solving.

  32. One of the most obvious ways to avoid unnecessary stress is to select an environment (work, home, leisure) which is in line with your personal needs and desires. If you hate desk jobs, don't accept a job which requires that you sit at a desk all day. If you hate to talk politics, don't associate with people who love to talk politics, etc.

  33. Learn to live one day at a time.

  34. Every day, do something you really enjoy.

  35. Add an ounce of love to everything you do.

  36. Take a hot bath or shower (or a cool one in summertime) to relieve tension.

  37. Do something for somebody else.

  38. Focus on understanding rather than on being understood; on loving rather than on being loved.

  39. Do something that will improve your appearance. Looking better can help you feel better.

  40. Schedule a realistic day. Avoid the tendency to schedule back-to-back appointments; allow time between appointments for a breathing spell.

  41. Become more flexible. Some things are worth not doing perfectly and some issues are fine to compromise upon.

  42. Eliminate destructive self-talk: "I'm too old to. . .," "I'm too fat to. . .," etc.

  43. Use your weekend time for a change of pace. If your work week is slow and patterned, make sure there is action and time for spontaneity built into your weekends. If your work week is fast-paced and full of people and deadlines, seek peace and solitude during your days off. Feel as if you aren't accomplishing anything at work? Tackle a job on the weekend which you can finish to your satisfaction.

  44. "Worry about the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves." That's another way of saying: take care of the todays as best you can and the yesterdays and the tomorrows will take care of themselves.

  45. Do one thing at a time. When you are with someone, be with that person and with no one or nothing else. When you are busy with a project, concentrate on doing that project and forget about everything else you have to do.

  46. Allow yourself time - everyday - for privacy, quiet, and introspection.

  47. If an especially unpleasant task faces you, do it early in the day and get it over with, then the rest of your day will be free of anxiety.

  48. Learn to delegate responsibility to capable others.

  49. Don't forget to take a lunch break. Try to get away from your desk or work area in body and mind, even if it's just for 15 or 20 minutes.

  50. Forget about counting to 10. Count to 1,000 before doing something or saying anything that could make matters worse.

  51. Have a forgiving view of events and people. Accept the fact that we live in an imperfect world.

  52. Have an optimistic view of the world. Believe that most people are doing the best they can.
